Juventus have made contact with Nice over a potential deal for Manchester United target Jean-Clair Todibo.
The Bianconeri are currently aiming to add a centre-back to the squad after deeming Leonardo Bonucci as surplus to requirements.
They have now opened talks with Nice over a possible transfer for Todibo, but they are yet to make any bid.
United are also among admirers of the Frenchman, but they are not planning any offer for him at the moment.
The club's priority is the purchase of a defensive midfielder. Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat is the first-choice target.
For that to happen, they need to recoup funds. The likes of Fred and Donny van de Beek could leave in the near future.
Similarly, a move for a new centre-back could depend on player sales.
For United to enter the race for Todibo, they need at least one high-profile exit from their defence in the coming days.
Harry Maguire could possibly make way from United such that the club can make an effort to land Todibo from Nice.
