Chelsea have agreed to let Hakim Ziyech leave the club on loan, as the attacker opts for a move to Turkey as opposed to Saudi Arabia. Galatasaray have secured Ziyech's signature for a season long loan deal, with a view to a permanent move, and a transfer could eventually net the Blues around £7.5 million.
The Turkish side have paid an initial £2.5 million for the duration of the loan and they will need to pay around £5 million more to guarantee that the Moroccan stays in Turkey next season.
The 30-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2020 in a deal worth around 40 million euros, but failed to impress, scoring six times in 64 games from the wing.
Ziyech was also linked with a move to Paris St Germain this summer, much the same as January when he had been expected to move to Ligue 1 with PSG.
Galatasaray have moved quickly to replace Nicolo Zaniolo, who signed for Aston Villa last week.
Chelsea's busy summer on the transfer market continues, and more new faces could be brought in before the close of the window.
