Newcastle are targetting St. Etienne's exciting young striker Amara Diane. Kevin Keegan is understood to have been in attendance at Les Verts' last game, and was reasonably happy with the performance of Diane.
The 25 year old has scored over 13 goals this season and it is believed that Kevin Keegan wishes to add another striker to his squad to compete with the impressive trio of Michael Owen, Mark Viduka and Obafemi Martins.
Diane is available for around £2.5 million, and Sevilla and Marseille are also in the market for the talented young forward.
