Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that he is the one to blame for David Raya's shaky start to the Premier League game against Manchester City.
The Spaniard has been the Gunners' first-choice keeper in the league since the last international break and he kept yet another clean sheet today.
However, the game was far from straightforward for him and he was guilty of gifting possession at the back with his loose distribution.
Speaking after the 1-0 win, Arteta said that he is the one to blame after asking Raya to pass out from the back despite City's high press.
He said: "It’s my fault, all my fault. They can pull me up on it because I asked him to do that, especially against this team, you just have to do other things and you’re get in big trouble. I think he was excellent."
Arsenal ended their horrendous 12-match losing league streak against City earlier today. Martinelli bagged the winner in the 86th minute.
