Newcastle United and Manchester United could battle it out for the signing of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot next summer.
The Frenchman was the subject of interest from the Premier League duo last summer, but he ended up signing a 12-month extension with the Bianconeri.
However, he has no plans of doing the same. Rabiot wants a payrise on his current deal and could consider a new challenge.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the World Cup finalist is prepared to move on if Juventus can't meet his contract demands.
This could reportedly revive the interest from United and Newcastle, who have been following him closely in the last year.
United were indeed interested in signing him in the summer of 2022 and talks were held between him and Erik ten Hag.
A deal did not materialise due to personal terms, but the situation could be different this time around with his fine form.
Rabiot has seen a tremendous transformation in his career over the past year and he has become a more creative outlet.
