Liverpool will make an approach to sign Manchester United target Goncalo Inacio during the January transfer window.
Inacio was heavily linked with a Premier League move last summer before he committed to a new long-term deal at Sporting.
This has not ended speculation over his future and reports claim that he could leave as early as the winter transfer window.
A Bola claim that Jurgen Klopp has told the hierarchy to sign Inacio from Sporting as he looks to find a new partner for Virgil van Dijk.
The Dutchman has been a mainstay in central defence for the Reds but he has lacked a reliable partner alongside him this term.
Klopp believes Inacio is the perfect companion for the former Southampton man and a deal could be sealed for €60 million this winter.
Sporting are reluctant to part ways with their prized asset, but they are helpless with €60m being the buy-out clause in his deal.
Inacio would well be a Liverpool player in January.
