Real Sociedad have decided against pursuing a permanent deal for Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.
The Scotland international joined the La Liga outfit on a season-long loan last summer after falling out-of-favour at the Gunners.
The north London giants are looking forward to selling him at the end of the campaign, but it seems Sociedad may not make an approach.
Tierney has made only five starts since his move to Spain and he has spent almost two months on the sidelines with a hamstring issue.
With his worrying injury record, Sociedad have second thoughts over pursuing a permanent deal for him when his loan stint ends.
Regardless of this, the Gunners are likely to consider his permanent exit. They may need to accept a reduced fee than initially planned.
Arsenal would ideally want to recoup the £30 million fee paid to Celtic, but may have to accept much less if he continues to be injury-prone.
