Chelsea playmaker Christopher Nkunku could finally make his Premier League debut against Sheffield United this weekend.
The France international joined the Blues from RB Leipzig during last summer's transfer window and he had a good pre-season until his knee injury.
Initial reports claimed that he could be out until January with the setback, but the 26-year-old has made a quicker recovery than expected.
Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino has resisted from picking him in recent matchday squads, but the Argentine is expected to include him on Saturday.
Nkunku is likely to start on the substitutes' bench and could be introduced around the mark in place of Nicolas Jackson in the number nine role.
Chelsea have had another horrendous league campaign and they are presently 12th in the standings with just 19 points on the board.
The club have suffered back-to-back losses in the top-flight, but should be fancied to come on top against bottom club Sheffield United.
