Napoli are reportedly lining up a January move for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.
The English centre-back has been on the sidelines since the start of the season with a thigh injury, but he is close to returning to first-team action.
As a result, the speculation over his future has resumed and it is claimed that Napoli are now interested in pursuing his signature.
The Serie A outfit have had a dismal defence of their league title and they are determined to shore up their backline this winter.
Chalobah is seen as a quality candidate to fit into the heart of their backline as he is a good passer and has good concentration.
Chelsea were looking for at least £30m to part ways with him last summer, but the price is likely to reduce amid his injuries.
They could be tempted to accept a loan deal with an option to buy for around £25m at the end of the ongoing campaign.
