Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs West Ham, Maguire starts

04 February 2024 - 13:00

Manchester United will be eyeing successive Premier League wins when they host West Ham United this afternoon.

  • Chelsea duo return to partial team training
  • Chelsea planning to sell Sterling to sign Crystal Palace star?

  • The Red Devils are currently 11 points behind the top four and have the chance to close the gap with another victory.

    Predicted Line-up:

Andre Onana is guaranteed to continue in goal despite another poor showing. He should have done better for Wolves' second goal and also made a high-profile error which led to Lisandro Martinez's goal-line clearance on Thursday.

In front of him, there could be a solitary change to the backline with Harry Maguire coming in for Raphael Varane, who could be rested amid his fitness issues. The Englishman could partner Lisandro Martinez in central defence.

Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw are set to feature in the full-back positions and the same can be said for Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo in the centre of the park. Mainoo grabbed the headlines in midweek with his stunning late winner.

Further forward, no changes are on the cards. Antony was poor off the bench and may not replace Alejandro Garnacho on the right wing. Marcus Rashford should continue on the left flank after his lovely goal.

Bruno Fernandes and birthday boy Rasmus Hojlund are nailed-on starters from the number 10 and number 9 positions respectively. Hojlund has been in fine form lately with four league goals in his last three outings.

Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1): Onana; Dalot, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Mainoo; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund.
