West Ham reportedly want to buy Newcastle defender Steven Taylor as Alan Curbishley begins his summer reshuffle after a relatively disappointing campaign in the Premiership for the Hammers.
Taylor has only one year left on his Newcastle deal, and could be set to stick around until next summer to leave on a Bosman if he is not played enough by the Toon.
Instead, West Ham would prefer to make a move for Taylor now as opposed to next summer, and Curbishley is apparently putting the finishing touches on a £4 million offer for the talented defender.
