Denmark under-21 midfielder William Clem is wanted by Chelsea and is rumoured to be on the cusp of a move to the Premier League outfit during this transfer window. The defensive midfielder could be signed as a replacement for Conor Gallagher.
Clem has appeared 39 times for his current team and has appeared for Denmark's youth national teams 17 times. Chelsea are looking for a host of youth players this summer, but will not be spending large sums of money after being warned that the club could be set to face financial fair play issues in the near future.
It is understood that Chelsea will spend close to £10 million to sign the defensive midfielder and Clem will sign a six-year-deal at the club. Clem appeared 22 times in the Danish Superliga last season and for many is expected to appear for Denmark's national team in the very near future.
Clem is also being tracked by Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, but Chelsea are set to win the race for the player's signature.
