Arsenal are ready to land the signature of Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia if Aaron Ramsdale leaves the club this summer.
The Gunners are evaluating the future of Ramsdale, who is currently the back-up goalkeeper behind David Raya.
The England international is at the European Championship, but he could push for a new challenge on his return.
Arsenal are well prepared for the situation and The Athletic claim that they have done good groundwork on his replacement.
Garcia has been identified as a suitable profile and the hierarchy are expected to make a move, provided a buyer is found for Ramsdale.
The Spaniard currently has a release clause worth €25m in his deal. It was only €15m prior to Espanyol's promotion from La Liga 2.
Despite this, the Gunners are optimistic of landing the 23-year-old for less than €15m, given his limited role at the Catalonian club.
Garcia will be representing Spain at the Olympic games in Paris.
