Manchester United have made contact with Paris Saint-Germain over Xavi Simons, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils recently completed the signing of Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and they are now interested in his compatriot.
Simons spent the recent campaign on loan at RB Leipzig where he scored 15 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions.
He went on to impress for the Netherlands at the European Championship. He registered one goal and three assists in Germany.
It is now reported that United have made contact with PSG regarding Simons, who has been tipped to leave on another loan deal.
However, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig are in more advanced talks with Les Parisiens. The former have proposed an obligation to buy.
PSG have no plans of selling Simons this summer, considering his former club PSV are entitled to a huge sell-on clause until the year ends.
Simons has yet to make a decision over his future, but Bayern could be the front-runners to sign him with a mandatory £70m release clause.
