Manchester United's backroom staff have been sufficiently impressed with the progression of Borussia Monchengladbach's attacking midfielder Kilian Sauck, and the Old Trafford outfit are preparing a reported 20 million euro offer to sign the 17-year-old. Seen as one of Germany's brightest talents, United want to bring the player to Manchester now and then loan him back to his current club for the upcoming 2024-25 Bundesliga season.
Man Utd's newly appointed board are scouring Europe for the best young players, and have been observing Sauck's development, as the youngster made his first appearance for Monchengladbach's youth team last year, returning a goal in that game.
Sauck can play in central midfield as a playmaker, or his preferred location as an attacking central midfielder, but on occasion can play on the left flank.
He is widely regarded as Borussia Monchengladbach's best young player, and the German side would ideally likely to hold on to Sauck, but the teenager has expressed his desire to move to England should an offer be received.
It is understood that United have a budget of close to £100 million remaining to spend on new players before the transfer window slams shut on August 30th 2024 at 11pm.
