Bournemouth have entered the race to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, according to multiple sources.
The England international agreed personal terms with Marseille earlier this month and he seemed on the cusp of joining the club.
However, the Ligue 1 outfit have decided to sign Elye Wahi from Lens instead. They refused to meet Arsenal's £26m price tag.
It is now reported that the Cherries are strongly interested in landing Nketiah following their failed approach for Porto's Evanilson.
The Cherries are desperate for a new striker ahead of the new campaign. They recently sold Dominic Solanke to Tottenham for £65m.
Arsenal should be aware of the transfer package and we won't be surprised if they demand a higher transfer fee to part ways with Nketiah.
The Gunners are eyeing a marquee striker in the transfer market and they could step up their pursuit as soon as Nketiah heads out of the club.
Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres seems the priority target.
