Arsenal are open to parting ways with midfielder Thomas Partey before the transfer window closes, according to The Times.
The Ghanaian star has been with the Gunners for the past four years. He has been a key player, but has struggled to stay injury free.
Partey has now entered the last year of his contract and The Times claim that he could be sold after the arrival of Mikel Merino.
Merino has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners and talks are advanced with Real Sociedad to secure his transfer.
Declan Rice and Jorginho can also operate from the number six role and Arsenal could be prepared to cut their losses on Partey.
Partey was a regular part of pre-season for the Gunners, but the club's hierarchy probably don't want to lose him on a free.
There are no plans to negotiate a contract extension and the best solution would be to offload him for around £20m this month.
