Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Ben Chilwell should consider a fresh challenge away from the club.
The England international has been a fringe player for the Blues since pre-season and he is now free to move elsewhere.
Maresca said: "It's probably better he goes and leaves and finds minutes. I love the way he is, the problem is that he is struggling to find the right position with us."
Chilwell was promoted as the vice-captain of the team last year and he was a regular part of the starting plans when fit and available.
However, he has struggled to win over Maresca and the former Leicester City man could move on before the transfer deadline.
Manchester United have been linked with Chilwell after the recent injury to Luke Shaw, who is sidelined until the next internationals.
They could propose to sign him on loan with an option to buy next summer. Chilwell should attract more interest in the coming days.
