Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher will secure his move to Atletico Madrid this week, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues agreed to sell Gallagher to Atletico for £34 million earlier this month. The Englishman completed all formalities with the La Liga giants before a disagreement took place.
As part of the transfer, Chelsea were expected to sign Atletico striker Samu Omorodion, but they pulled the plug on the deal due to concerns over image rights.
This forced Atletico's hands as they refused to sign the final paperwork for Gallagher. The midfielder is now expected to join them with a solution having been found.
Chelsea have accepted to sign Joao Felix instead. The Portuguese will travel to west London tomorrow to undergo his medical and sign a long-term contract until June 2030.
Gallagher will be travelling to Madrid at the same time. He could be presented immediately with the necessary interviews and photoshoot already done by Diego Simeone's side.
