Arsenal have agreed to sell goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale to Southampton, according to Sky Sports News.
The England international played second fiddle to David Raya last term and he will now secure a new challenge.
The Saints were initially looking to sign Ramsdale on loan with an obligation to buy for around £20-25 million.
However, they have finally agreed on a permanent deal. They will pay £18m up front with another £7m in add-ons.
Ramsdale's departure is expected to force the Gunners into the transfer market. They have identified his successor.
Personal terms have already been agreed with Espanyol's Joan Garcia and talks are expected with Espanyol tomorrow.
The goalkeeper has a release clause worth £25m in his contract, but Arsenal are expected to negotiate a much lesser fee.
Espanyol are aware that the 23-year-old wants to join the London giants and they are unlikely to block his late departure.
The Gunners are confident of securing his signature by Friday's deadline.
