Manchester City have suffered a huge injury blow ahead of their Premier League meeting against Arsenal later this month.
The Cityzens have made a perfect start to the top-flight campaign with nine points from three games and they will be aiming to continue the momentum after the international break.
The holders will be in action against Brentford at the weekend before hosting Inter Milan in the new Champions League league phase. This will be followed by Arsenal's visit.
Pep Guardiola's side have suffered a big defensive blow for those fixtures. Nathan Ake sustained a serious muscle injury on Netherlands duty on Tuesday night.
He is likely to be sidelined for several weeks and it is certain that he won't be involved for the much-awaited clash against the Gunners.
Arsenal also have plenty of injury problems of their own. Martin Odegaard and Riccardo Calafiori picked up injuries during the break.
Calafiori is anticipated to return after a knock to his calf, but Odegaard could be on the sidelines for a month with an ankle sprain.
