Manchester United could miss out on signing Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah on a free transfer next summer.
The Red Devils bolstered their central defensive department this summer with the signings of Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt.
The club are aiming to add more quality into their ranks and SportBild claim that they are looking to land Tah in a Bosman move.
Tah has entered the last year of his contract with Leverkusen and he has already made the decision to run down his deal.
Tah is also on the radar of Liverpool and they could have upper hand over United due to the defender's sporting requirements.
The centre-back is eyeing a huge increase on his £46,000 per week wages, but he is also keen on playing in the Champions League.
United have not qualified for the competition this term and there is no guarantee that they will be able to do so next season.
The club are currently four points behind the top four in the Premier League and are already playing catch-up after just three games.
