Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Ben Chilwell will train with the team after failing to find another club this summer.
The England international was deemed surplus to requirements by Maresca last month and he was urged to pursue a new challenge.
Chilwell was linked with the likes of Manchester United and Galatasaray, but ultimately he did not receive any lucrative transfer offers.
Speaking in today's press conference, Maresca revealed that the left-back will resume training with the team ahead of the Bournemouth trip.
He said: "Ben Chilwell is probably going to be back with us in training, he’s going to start training with the team."
Chilwell was the vice-captain of the Blues last season. He was regarded as one of the most important players under Mauricio Pochettino.
However, his situation has changed under Maresca, who prefers Marc Cucurella and Renato Veiga ahead of him in the pecking order.
The Leicester City graduate is back in training with the Blues, but his playing time could be minimal until January when he could be offloaded.
