An emotional Alex Ferguson praised his Man Utd side after they secured a historic double in Moscow after they defeated Chelsea 6-5 on penalties. The victory secured Ferguson's second Champions League success.
âThatâs the first penalty shoot-out Iâve ever won,â Ferguson told Sky Sports after claiming the crown for the second time.
âWhen we missed the penalty kick (from Ronaldo) we thought we were in trouble but I thought we deserved the win.
âWe had the best chances. In the second half they had more control but in extra time we were better.
âItâs a fantastic achievement.
âIâm delighted for my players. I think this has the making of my best team.â
