Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has dropped a worrying update on three stars ahead of the Premier League clash against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners entertain the Reds in the top-flight on Sunday and ahead of the game, they are unclear over the fitness of Bukayo Saka, Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber.
All three of them were absent in the morning training session and when pressed on their availability, Arteta said: "We’re going to do our very best to somehow have them available but it’s very uncertain."
Saka had a training session on Thursday, but he was not spotted this morning. It is still anticipated that the Englishman will make the starting XI for Sunday's encounter.
Timber could likewise pass a late fitness test for the encounter, but Calafiori could be sidelined for some period of time, having picked up a possible medial ligament injury.
It has been reported by Sky Italia that he could be sidelined for two to three weeks, thereby ruling him out of the league clash against the Reds.
