Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has provided an injury update on Cole Palmer following the 1-1 Premier League draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The Blues climbed into the top four of the standings with a stalemate against the Red Devils. Towards the end of the game, Lisandro Martinez made a reckless challenge with his studs making contact with Palmer's knee.
The England international managed to see off the game with visible pain and Maresca has now revealed that the midfielder has ice on his knee at the moment.
He said: "Hopefully he is okay. He has ice on it now."
Chelsea have performed above expectations in the current campaign and they are currently seven points adrift of leaders Liverpool after 10 games.
The Blues are not expected to challenge for the league title this term, but they can make a huge statement by beating Arsenal next weekend.
The west London giants have failed to beat the Gunners for the last few seasons and they have the opportunity to end the streak next Sunday.
