Morientes to stay at Valencia

22 May 2008 - 13:55

Fernando Morientes has revealed that he intends to stay at La Liga giants Valencia next season, despite the interest of several other teams in Spain. Valladolid, Real Mallorca and Real Betis all wish to sign the former Spain international.

  • Chelsea plan shock swoop for Sporting CP star
  • Chelsea have clear stance on signing Victor Osimhen
  • Morientes was often frozen out by his old boss Ronald Koeman, but he will be given another opportunity under his new coach.

“I will continue at the club next season,” declared Morientes.

“Valencia are an attractive team for any player in Europe.

“For sure following this disastrous season we will bounce back at the top of the Spanish league.”
