Manchester United could consider a move for Chelsea target Victor Osimhen, according to Fichajes.
The Red Devils have been poor in the striking department this term. Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have netted a combined three goals leading the line.
New manager Ruben Amorim has been linked with a reunion with Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres, but there is no guarantee that he will arrive at Old Trafford.
Gyokeres wants to play regular Champions League football in his career and he may not join the club unless they qualify for the competition next campaign.
With this in mind, United are looking at alternative options and Fichajes claim that they could compete with Chelsea for the services of Osimhen from Napoli.
Chelsea were determined to land Osimhen on loan with a buy option last summer, but the Nigerian star did not want to accept a significant salary cut.
The striker ended up joining Galatasaray on loan and he plans to stay there until the end of the campaign before considering a bigger challenge.
Chelsea are likely to make a fresh move, but they could face competition from United. Osimhen's release clause worth €75m will become active next summer.
