Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres has his sights on reuniting with Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim next summer.

The Sweden international has been a revelation in front of goal. He has netted 24 goals from just 19 appearances in the current campaign.

His exemplary form has caught the eye of Europe's elite clubs and United were one of those monitoring him in action against Arsenal.

Gyokeres failed to impress in the 5-1 loss to the Gunners, but the 26-year-old has done enough in the last 18 months to convince United.

The Red Devils have already made contact with his representatives and Amorim is keen on a reunion after managing him at Sporting.

Gyokeres has a release clause in the region of £84m at his club, but he has a gentleman's agreement to leave them for around £63m next summer.

The striker would prefer to reunite with Amorim at Old Trafford and he could snub the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City for United.
