Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has his sights on signing Paris Saint-Germain left-back Nuno Mendes next summer, according to Daily Mail.
The Red Devils presently have Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia as their specialist left-backs, but Amorim is not satisfied with the duo.
Both of them have been injury-prone in their careers. Shaw has not played for the Red Devils since picking up a muscular injury in pre-season.
Meanwhile, Malacia has not played a competitive game of any form since June last year. He has suffered multiple setbacks after his knee surgery.
The duo have returned to full training lately, but Amorim seems keen on signing a younger and reliable option when the opportunity arises.
Mendes is one of the names under consideration, but a deal could be difficult to pull off as he is an indispensable figure for Les Parisiens.
The Portuguese has been in-and-out of the XI due to injuries, but manager Luis Enrique reportedly has no plans of parting ways with him.
