Manchester United are preparing an initial offer worth £50 million to sign Sporting Lisbon wonderkid Geovany Quenda next summer, according to A Bola.
United boss Ruben Amorim is determined to add new players to the squad, but he may have to wait until the summer for a big spending spree.
The club are still open to negotiating advanced summer deals and A Bola claim that they are committed to landing Quenda from Sporting CP.
The 17-year-old was handed his debut by Amorim at the Portuguese champions and he has been brilliant from the right wing-back role.
His exceptional performances have caught the eye of Liverpool, but United are aiming to beat the competition by landing his services in advance.
Amorim has already given the green light for the transfer and United have reserved £50m before add-ons to spend on the talented wonderkid.
Sporting CP are open to doing business with the Red Devils, but are expected to demand performance bonuses on top of the £50m fee.
