Manchester United have suffered a contract setback with club graduates Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho, according to Daily Mail.
The Red Devils have had a disastrous Premier League campaign and they are languishing in the 14th spot with just 22 points to their name.
The club are in a difficult situation and reports claim that they are struggling to convince Mainoo and Garnacho to commit their futures too.
The hierarchy have made no progress in the contract talks with plenty of differences over the salaries as well as the sporting project.
United are still optimistic of finding the breakthrough and negotiations are expected with the young duo following the turn of the year.
The Red Devils have picked up just three points in the last five league games and they face a huge task on their hands tomorrow.
The club entertain Newcastle United at Old Trafford. The Magpies are in redhot form and United face a huge challenge to restrict them.
