Wolverhampton Wanderers are prepared to hand a new contract to Matheus Cunha amid interest from Arsenal this month, according to Daily Mail.
The Brazil international has been in sensational form for the Midlands outfit this campaign with 10 goals and four assists from 19 appearances.
Arsenal are reportedly close to agreeing personal terms with the 25-year-old, but it is unclear whether Wolves would be tempted to sanction his sale.
Cunha is open to pursuing a bigger challenge away from Wolves, but the club remain optimistic of committing him to a new long-term contract.
His current deal does not expire until the summer of 2027, but Wolves realise that they need to hand him a wage hike to keep him happy.
Arsenal are yet to make a formal approach for his services, but reports claim that it could take a premium fee to persuade Wolves into a sale.
The Gunners may need to offer at least £60 million to tempt Wolves into sanctioning his exit before the winter transfer deadline on February 3.
