Manchester United could be prepared to offer Marcus Rashford as a makeweight to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this month.
Rashford has been deemed surplus to requirements by United manager Ruben Amorim. He has not played in any of the previous five games.
The England international won't be in the squad to face Liverpool tomorrow due to illness. He could be on his way out in the coming days.
The Sun now claim that Rashford could be included in a deal to sign Osimhen, who is presently on loan with Galatasaray in Turkey.
The striker has the opportunity to break his loan contract this month and Napoli would be willing to sanction his sale for around £60m.
United are unlikely to afford such a figure due to PSR concerns. They are prepared to include Rashford in the deal to significantly lower the fee.
Meanwhile, Napoli manager Antonio Conte is interested in signing Joshua Zirkzee instead. The Serie A giants could request the Dutchman in a player-plus-cash deal for Osimhen this winter.
