Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes could be sidelined for the rest of the season after picking up a hamstring injury against Fulham in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
The Brazil international has been ever-present in the heart of the Gunners backline, but he could be out for some time after his injury setback in the London derby yesterday.
Magalhaes was substituted after less than 20 minutes on the clock and Daily Mail claim that his injury may have been aggravated by Fulham's reluctance to put the ball out of play.
The centre-back was forced to play on with an injured hamstring for more than a minute and this could have a detrimental effect. Magalhaes may not return for the rest of the campaign.
The news is a huge setback for the Gunners, considering Riccardo Calafiori is also on the sidelines. The Italian has been ruled out for the next few weeks with a knee problem.
Ben White is also nursing a small issue. Jakub Kiwior, who has been far from impressive in central defence, may have to partner William Saliba in the short term.
