Manchester United have entered the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick this summer, according to Sky Sport Germany.
The 29-year-old has been in superb form for the German champions this term. He has netted 23 goals in all competitions for the club.
His current deal expires in the summer of 2027, but reports claim that he would like to move to the Premier League before next season.
United have their sights on signing a younger striker, but they have made initial contact with Schick's agents regarding a possible deal.
The Red Devils have been poor in the final third this campaign. The club have netted just 38 goals from 32 Premier League matches.
They desperately need an upgrade for next season. Schick would be a proper signing for United if age is not a major factor for them.
The Czechia international has rich experience of playing in Europe's top-five leagues and may want to test himself in the Premier League.
