Brazilian giants Flamengo have opened talks to sign Chelsea winger Joao Felix on loan ahead of the Club World Cup this summer, as per Ben Jacobs.
The Portuguese ace rejoined the Blues from Atletico Madrid last summer and he was largely out-of-favour under manager Enzo Maresca.
He was loaned out to the Rossoneri at the turn of the year but the Milan giants have no plans of re-signing him on a permanent agreement.
Felix will return to the Blues when their season ends and Jacobs claim that Flamengo are exploring a year-long loan for his services.
Flamengo have high ambitions at the Club World Cup and they have already agreed to land Jorginho on a free transfer from Arsenal.
The club are set to be busy over the coming weeks. They could pursue more signings with European experience before the showpiece event.
Chelsea could sanction Felix's loan exit if his wages are paid in full. They have no plans of accepting a cut-price sale this summer.
