Manchester United could provide strong competition to Arsenal in the pursuit of Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres on one condition, according to Caught Offside.
The Sweden international has been in sensational form this campaign. He has netted 52 goals and provided 13 assists in all competitions for the Portuguese champions.
Gyokeres has a gentleman's agreement to leave Sporting CP for €70-75 million and reports in Portugal claim that Arsenal are front-runners to land his signature.
However, Caught Offside report that a deal may not be straightforward if United were to qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League next week.
United are planning to spend big on a marquee striker and Gyokeres would be tempted to join them with Champions League football next campaign.
Hence, Arsenal can't take things for granted and need to sort an agreement as soon as possible to avoid a possible hijack from the Red Devils.
Gyokeres has no plans of discussing his future with any club until after the Portuguese Cup final against Benfica on the 25th of May.
