Liverpool have secured an agreement to sign Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz for a club-record package, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Merseyside giants have been active since the start of the summer. They have already purchased Jeremie Frimpong from Leverkusen to reinforce the right-back department.
The Reds have been working simultaneously on a deal for Wirtz. After weeks of negotiations, they have finally agreed a club-record fee of £127 million to sign the German ace.
Arne Slot's side are expected to continue their spending spree in the coming days. They are in advanced talks to land left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth too.
Meanwhile, the heavy spending could coincide with departures. The club have already opened the door for the exit of Darwin Nunez, who is attracting Saudi interest.
The Uruguayan was declined a mid-season exit last winter, but the Reds are unlikely to block his exit this time around. They are aiming to secure £70m from his departure.
