Chelsea wants Torres for £50M

Roman Abramovich and Chelsea are preparing to offer a whopping 50 million pounds for the Spanish striker, Fernando Torres as reported by the "Daily Mail".

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Spurs, Gilchrist starts
  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs

  • Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is more than ready to offer record signing fees to attract the world's best footballers, Torres is the latest in his shopping list. The Chief Executive Director, Peter Kenyon, has agreed with the Russian owner's huge interest in signing the player who revolutionized the premier league by scoring 33 goals in his debut season for Liverpool.

The london club is most likely to lose the services of Drogba, Frank Lampard and Carvalho who are all linked with top European clubs, and they will need replacements of the top class in plenty. The sources from Liverpool say that Torres might be sold for the right price, although that would invite no support from the fans who love him.

The Champions League runners-up are linked with another super star, Real Madrid's Robinho, who would cost no less than £30M.
