Arsenal have decided to cool their interest in signing Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres due to the asking price, according to Record.
The Swede has given the green light to join the Gunners. He recently turned down Manchester United, who were in regular contact with his agent.
However, it appears the Gunners are not certain to sign him at the moment. They are reportedly fed up by the demands of Sporting CP.
The London giants don't want to pay more than €65 million for the striker, but the Portuguese champions are adamant on their €80m price tag.
Arsenal have hence cooled their pursuit and have turned focus to landing either Benjamin Sesko or Aston Villa in the coming weeks.
The news could be a huge boost for the Red Devils. United could revive their pursuit of Gyokeres, who is a top target for manager Ruben Amorim.
Gyokeres is also on the radar of Juventus and Atletico Madrid, as per reports.
