Despite signing Liam Delap from Ipswich Town this summer, Chelsea are still seeking attacking reinforcements and are monitoring the situation of Napoli forward Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian striker has been told that he has no future at the Serie A champions, and can freely depart for another team. The Blues are long-term admirers of Osimhen and are readying an initial 90 million euro bid for the striker.
An impressive season in the Turkish Super Lig saw Osimhen score 26 goals in 30 league games, and now Osimhen will return to Naples after the Turkish club are believed to have opted out of a move for the striker. Galatasaray could not afford the reported 85 million euro required to secure Osimhen's signature on a permanent basis.
Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia are also admirers of the striker, but the Nigerian does not yet want to make the move to the Middle East as he feels he has much to give in Europe. Osimhen's dream is to play in the Premier League, and Chelsea are the primary option for the talented striker.
The 26-year-old captured the attentions of many of Europe's top sides after scoring 65 goals in Serie A for Napoli, but at that time no club could afford his transfer fee. A move to Turkey proved that Osimhen is still one of the world's most talented strikers, and Chelsea are set to make their first bid.
