Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera has given the green light to join Arsenal during the summer transfer window, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Spain youth international has entered the last year of his contract with Los Che and the La Liga outfit are determined to extend his stay with a low release clause.
However, the centre-back prefers to pursue a bigger challenge this summer and has already agreed personal terms over a long-term contract with the Gunners.
Romano now reports that Mosquera is very clear with his ambition to join the Gunners. Arsenal will make a second bid after their opening €15m bid was knocked back.
William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are guaranteed starters in central defence for Arsenal when fit, but manager Mikel Arteta probably wants good backup.
Jakub Kiwior has been inconsistent in the Gunners shirt while Riccardo Calafiori has generally played at left-back since his arrival from Bologna. Mosquera should provide handy competition.
