Arsenal are ready to make a fresh approach to sign Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres in the coming days, according to A Bola.
The Gunners are focused on bolstering their striking options for next season and Gyokeres is one of the top names on their wishlist.
Gyokeres has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners and it is claimed that Arsenal could make a renewed offer for him.
The club had an opening bid worth £56m turned down and are ready to make a renewed proposal of around £60.5m for the marksman.
However, their offer is most likely to be rejected by Sporting. The Portuguese champions want £69m plus to sanction his transfer.
Sporting president Frederico Varandas has made it clear that Gyokeres won't be leaving for £60.5m including add-ons this summer.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal match the fee. They are also keen on RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko, but are expected to sign only one striker.
