Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko could be on his way to Newcastle United during the backend of the summer transfer window.
The Gunners were hot on the trail of the Slovenian earlier this summer, but they could not secure a suitable agreement with RB Leipzig for his services.
Arsenal have gone on to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP instead, but Sesko could still move to the Premier League in the coming weeks.
Fabrizio Romano has today reported that Sesko has a gentleman's agreement to leave for €70-80m plus €5-10m in add-ons for a 'special' club.
The Magpies have now emerged as a realistic destination, given they could part ways with Alexander Isak before the transfer window closes.
The Swede has handed in a transfer request amid interest from Liverpool. The Magpies could secure a staggering €130m from his departure.
Hence, they should be in a strong position to meet the demands of Leipzig to purchase Sesko, who has also been linked with Manchester United.
