Pique joins Barcelona

Barcelona have completed the signing of Spanish defender Gerard Pique from Manchester United. New Barca boss Pep Guardiola revealed that Pique was one of his primary targets for the summer.

The 21-year-old Spaniard has signed a four year contract at Barcelona and has already completed a medical.



Sir Alex Ferguson was known to be keen to keep Pique at the club, but his lack of first-team football at Old Trafford seemed to spell the end for Pique who was keen to return to his old club.



Man Utd are believed to have received around £4 million to let Pique go.
