Tottenham have held talks with Manchester City over a shock move for winger Savinho. Negotiations are ongoing over a permanent transfer believed to be in the region of around £45 million.
Newly appointed Tottenham manager Thomas Frank sees the Brazilian as an ideal player for his system, with the Lilywhites reportedly looking to add attacking depth to their side this window, in addition to the recent signings of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham and the permanent transfer of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich.
Injuries to James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, the departure of Captain Heung-min Son, as well as the failed transfer of Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest are likely to accelerate any potential move for the player as the club look to fill the void left by these players.
City are not looking to sell Savinho, however boss Pep Guardiola is unlikely to stand in his way if he wants to leave the club, with the player reportedly open to a move to North London if the clubs are able to agree on a fee.
The 21-year-old joined the club from fellow City Group owned Girona last summer for a fee of £30 million and made 48 appearances for the Citizens last season, registering 3 goals and 13 assists in his maiden campaign for the club.
