Fiorentina are in the market for Mikael Silvestre. The Man Utd defender is expected to leave the club in the summer after Sir Alex Ferguson refused to give Silvestre assurances that he would be a first-team performer next year.

The French defender is reportedly a target for Bordeaux this summer too, and Silvestre will be allowed to leave United for around £4 million.



Man Utd are expected to bring in a couple of replacement defenders this summer after Gerard Pique already completed a move to Barcelona.
