Arsenal are reluctant to make a formal approach for Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze due to their pursuit of Real Madrid's Rodrygo.
The Gunners are keen on making one more attacking acquisition this summer and they have been heavily linked with Eze in the last few days.
However, they have yet to make a formal offer for Eze. It is now revealed that Rodrygo continues to remain the number one target for Arsenal.
The north London giants want to know Real Madrid's stance on the Brazilian first. If he is unavailable, they could focus on landing Eze instead.
Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on landing Eze from the Eagles, and Arsenal must be quick or they could miss out on the attacker's signature.
Spurs recently suffered a big setback with James Maddison's injury while Son Heung-min has left the club for a new challenge in Major League Soccer.
Hence, Eze has emerged as a top target for the Europa League holders.
