Manchester City have been in contact with Monaco with regard to a summer transfer move for Maghnes Akliouche, the attacking midfielder that could be available for a fee of around 55 million euros thsi summer. 23-year-old Akliouche is reportedly one of Pep Guardiola's top targets and an offer will be made shortly.
Akliouche has become one of Ligue 1’s most dynamic attacking talents, capable of playing both as an attacking midfielder and on the right wing. His pace, close control, and ability to drift inside to create scoring opportunities align closely with the type of intelligent, multifaceted attackers Pep Guardiola values at City.
The timing of City’s interest is significant. With uncertainty surrounding Savinho’s future, the club may be forced to look for attacking reinforcements to maintain depth. In such a scenario, Akliouche fits the profile: young, technically gifted, and versatile. Traints that could make him a seamless addition to City’s fast-paced, fluid attack.
City are not alone in tracking Akliouche. Other notable suitors include Bayer Leverkusen, PSG, Tottenham, and even Manchester United, but Man City are in pole position to wrap up a deal.
